The labia minora are the smaller inner folds on the vulva. The shape, size and color of the labia minora can be determined by age, genetics, hormonal changes or trauma caused by childbirth. There is no standard shape or size of the labia minora but if a woman feels like the labia minora is negatively interfering with her life, she can decide to get a labia minora reduction procedure.

This is an outpatient procedure that aims to reduce or reshape the labia minora and is performed under local anesthesia. Excess tissue is removed in order to improve the appearance and function. Labiaplasty can be a combination of both labia minora reduction and labia major reduction or both.
